I've taken your subtle hint and calibrated my monitor but although things look
a bit better now, they're not perfect. I'll play some more and see if I can
improve it a bit more ;-))

Ah yes, of course but as I seldom use overwrite mode, I'd completely forgotten
about that.

Might be better to leave things as they are because it's obviously my monitor
that's causing my problem.
