I had done nothing different or odd.  Just run it, poll my boss ndoe, read
some messages and reply to a few, poll my boss node again and exit.  There
were no error messages or glitches.  Then, I tried to open it later, I got the
error.

I had thought maybe using the X was causing it by not properly closing the
related files.
