It enables direct connection to nodes that would have been behing NAT using
IPv4. In particular, some providers today already give customers no longer own
IPv4 addresses, but share addresses among customers using NAT like the routers
normally do at the customers home. Thus, many internet users today cannot host
any kind of IPv4 server anymore.
