I don't know what the official method is but I do this:

- Copy everything in C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\WinPoint\ to  
my backup directory on my NAS.

- Backup(export) the following registry key to my backup directory on my  
NAS:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\New.Vision.Software\WinPoint\

Works for me! :-)
