Hope everyone made it through the storm in good shape and safe.  It has been a
very crazy week for me, to say the least.

Concerning the storm, we did better than I expected.  My neighbor lost two
large trees and at least 2 more large trees went down in the woods behind my
house.  

I recorded the lowest barometer I have ever seen or recorded.  It was 28.36
inches early Tuesday morning.

Our power went out Monday evening.  I was lucky in that I was able to buy a
generator this past Friday.  I walked into the Home Depot just as they were
unloading them.  They sold 19 of them in 10 minutes.  

I was able to run the entire house on the generator, just had to keep finding
more gas for it which was the difficult part.  Our entire area had no power
for miles and all stations were dark.  I finally found one with power about 15
miles away.  

I must say, it looked like armageddon when I was driving around in the truck
Monday night looking for gas.  Everything was dark - no red lights anywhere,
rain going sideways, things flying in the road.

It was an experience, thats for sure.

We got power and Internet restored 24 hours later, but there are still many
places that are dark.
