One heavy duty drop would feed everything I need, a decent 5 kw genset would do it. Were I ever to get a 15 kw that rides on a trailer though I'd rig up a marine shore power connection to feed the whole place with the 240vac needed. But, a 5kw I'd just run off the one drop through the bathroom window. IT's one of those crank out windows, no screen, but I could crank it closed, leave the genset far enough away that the fumes wouldn't blow in at us and be good. I'd probably take Kathy off the concentrator and put her on a tank at night, kill teh gen and we'd still be alright. The fridge and freezer would stay cold overnight and we'd still have the float charged batteries for radios giving us comms if we need 'em. I've also got a 4 12 vdc lights around here strategicaly placed to run off the same batteries. |
