Northeastern NY is expecting another polar freeze in a day or two..

Our house in Windsor, which we're trying to get on the market to sell suffered
frozen pipes and an explosion of water all over the house in the freeze last
week.. repairs haven't even been completed there yet, and we're expeting
another very low temp freeze.  The weather moguls say this coming freeze isn't
supposed to be as bad as the last one, but somehow I'm not encouraged.

And of course making things worse is the fact the ancient oil furnace in that
house obviously suffered some damage and the stinking thing won't stay "on".
We've had the furnace repair guy there like 5 times so far to no avail..

Well, right now we're counting on our home insurance to pay for all of this,
but until we hear from them that it will all be covered we're just paying out
of hand.. ouch.

The damage from the first freeze was intensive, since water pipes froze not
only where they were on exterior walls, but also some 'in' interior walls. Not
a pretty site, I'll tell you.
