Hi Mark, >> Our house in Windsor, which we're trying to get on the market to sell >> suffered frozen pipes and an explosion of water all over the house in the >> freeze last week.. repairs haven't even been completed there yet, and >> we're expeting another very low temp freeze. Yes, with these cold temps and a furance > that is not working, even the interior pipes will freeze. Ancient oil furnace :) and I mean ancient.. but now the furnace is doing ok, which is a good thing. Thank goodness we just had word from the Ins. company that they'll pay for all the repairs, so now they are going to be determining the total amount of damage, etc. I feel like I'm at a loss with the "where do we start?" with the repairs though :) I'm hoping the service agency that going to determine the damage will help with that. >It has been a very cold January, that's for sure. We have broken many records > on several days. We hit a "lowest high temp" on one of the days when it only > hit 12 degrees - as a high temp. hehe.. over here, yesterday we were at 3F daytime and -5 last night. Insane to me :) I think when the house froze, the lows that night were -10 or something though. > Been hovering in the single digits to around zero many of the nights around > here. > Certianly am starting to know what it feels like to live on the north pole. Yes, I know what you mean :) Take care, Janis --- BBBS/Li6 v4.10 Dada-1 * Origin: Prism bbs (1:261/38) |
